The PuntAla Surf ‘n Sail Centre, which houses the Centro Velico Punta Ala and the Sailing School, provides constant updates on the weather and sea conditions. A beach volley field is set up for guests of the Camping Site on the beach. Completing the garaging facilities for yachts and motorboats is a slipway for small-sized craft located close to a guarded area, which offers safe, easy access with one’s own boat trailer.

Sea and beach

This beautiful stretch of sea facing the Tuscan Archipelago is almost always calm, and slightly choppy in the afternoon. The water temperature varies between 18° and 24° C during the summer season. Camping PuntAla guarantees safe, clean water certified by international environmental quality control bodies. For more than 20 years without exception, our coastline has received awards such as 5 Vele Goletta Verde (Legambiente) and Bandiera Blu (FEE). Beach umbrellas, deckchairs and sunbeds are arranged in staggered rows facing the sea, so that all guests can enjoy the view of the Punta Ala Marina (Punta Hidalgo), the Island of Elba and Giglio.

Boat hire

Brightly coloured pedal boats, multi-seater canoes, and a rich pool of boats for hire including catamarans (Hobie Cat), monohulls of various sizes (Laser Bahia), brand new SUP (stand up paddle boats), windsurf boards and complete rigs are available at the Surf’n Sail Center on the beach.

Excursions

Upon request, the Surf’n Sail Center organises excursions from nearby and well-known Cala Violina as far as the Rock of the Sparviero, or towards the Gulf as far as the initial rocks of the Island of Elba.
