This September, Fiorino Mud returns with an edition that embraces its origins and focuses entirely on its most extreme side. Registrations for the 2026 edition are officially open, and this year’s big news is a bold choice: one route only, the most adventurous one, to be tackled over two stages across some of Tuscany’s most beautiful and wild landscapes.
400 km, 6,900 meters of elevation gain, more than 220 km of gravel roads and a maximum altitude of 588 meters. These numbers perfectly describe the spirit of Fiorino Mud 2026: a demanding route to be faced with both strong legs and a clear mind, but also with the desire to discover a different side of Tuscany, far from the beaten path.
From the province of Florence down to the Maremma coast and back, the route will cross gravel roads, forests, vineyards, villages and rolling hills, touching the provinces of Florence, Arezzo, Siena and Grosseto. As tradition dictates, however, the track will be completely new. This is one of the features that makes Fiorino Mud truly unique: no two editions are ever the same. Route scouting for 2026 is already underway, with organizers Thomas Andrew Daddi and Gianluca Scafuro searching for the perfect balance of white roads, climbs, scenic views and technical sections.
The format that has attracted hundreds of riders over the years remains unchanged: no course markings, just a detailed GPX track featuring water points, refreshment stops and navigation tips. Apart from the mandatory stop in Punta Ala, each participant is free to interpret the challenge in their own way, choosing pace, breaks and strategy.
After more than 200 km in the saddle, PuntAla Camp & Resort**** will serve as the finish point of day one and the logistical heart of the event. Here, riders will find an environment designed to help them recover before stage two: refreshments upon arrival, a food area, hot showers, mechanical assistance from Punta Ala Trail Center, charging stations and a dedicated area with pre-pitched Ferrino tents and camp beds included in the entry fee. Those looking for extra comfort will also be able to book one of the resort’s accommodation options.
The evening in Punta Ala will be a chance to relax and share stories, surrounded by the pine forest and just a few steps from the sea: time to unwind, work on the bike, exchange impressions with fellow riders and recharge for the next day.
Early on Sunday morning, riders will head back north to complete the loop towards Florence, with the satisfaction of having completed one of the most fascinating gravel challenges in Italy.
Fiorino Mud 2026 is open to gravel bikes, MTBs, cyclocross bikes and e-bikes. The organization takes care of luggage transport, allowing participants to ride light and focus entirely on the challenge. Entry includes a race pack, on-site services, professional photos and access to the event festival area.
Places are limited and registrations are already open.
See you on September 26–27, 2026, for another epic adventure across Tuscany.
