September in Punta Ala: sea, outdoor adventures and sport through the last weekend of summer
Pleasant temperatures, quieter beaches and three consecutive weekends of sailing and gravel events: September is the perfect time for a holiday in Punta Ala.

September is one of the best months for a seaside holiday, and Punta Ala still has all the flavour of summer, with pleasant temperatures, quieter beaches and plenty of time to spend outdoors.
And for anyone booking a stay at PuntAla Camp & Resort, the beach umbrella is free throughout September!
The cooler weather also makes exploring the area particularly enjoyable. From the resort, guests can set off by MTB, e-MTB or gravel bike towards Cala Violina, the Bandite di Scarlino nature reserve and the hills of the Maremma, or walk to the coves along the coast. The Gulf of Follonica is the perfect setting for SUP, kayaking, sailing and windsurfing. Tennis, CrossFit and the Sport Beach Arena provide even more options for sport and training.
September also brings the season's final major sporting events. For three consecutive weekends, PuntAla Camp & Resort will host two Italian Sailing Championships – Fireball and F18 – as well as the Fiorino Mud 400 bike adventure.
Three weekends of sailing and gravel
The final three sporting events of the season will make September even livelier and more exciting: two Italian Sailing Championships organised by Centro Velico Punta Ala, followed by a gravel adventure across Tuscany, from Florence to PuntAla Camp & Resort and back.
10–13 September: Italian Fireball Championship
PuntAla Camp & Resort will host the Italian Fireball Championship, organised by Centro Velico Punta Ala in the waters just off the resort's beach. Four days of racing dedicated to one of the fastest and most technical two-person dinghies.

17–20 September: Italian F18 Championship
As soon as one regatta ends, it will already be time for the next to begin. The fast Formula 18 catamarans will return to fill the Gulf of Follonica with colourful sails and compete for the Italian title, with PuntAla Camp & Resort serving as the event's logistics base.

26–27 September: Fiorino Mud 400
On the final weekend of September, the scenery will change from colourful sails at sea to Tuscany's white gravel roads. After more than 200 kilometres in the saddle, Fiorino Mud 400 participants will reach PuntAla Camp & Resort, the finish of the first stage and their coastal stopover before heading back to Florence. Food and refreshments, hot showers, mechanical assistance, charging points and a dedicated overnight area will be waiting for them.

September is perfect for spending a few days by the sea, getting caught up in the sporting events and exploring the area, with a mix of outdoor activities, nature and relaxation.
All services at PuntAla Camp & Resort and Your Outdoor Arena will remain available until the end of the season on 4 October 2026.
